FOLKLORE & LEGENDSTHE PLACE REMEMBERED FIRST.
Some stories existed before anyone thought to write them down. They lived in warnings, names, roadside shrines, old customs and the sentence someone's grandmother refused to explain. Folklore is what remains when a place remembers something longer than its people do.
THE FIRST CLUE
THE STORY GETS STRANGER FROM HERE.
A legend does not need to be true to leave evidence. A hill gets a name. A road is avoided after dark. A creature appears in stories told miles apart. A ritual survives after everyone forgets what it was supposed to prevent. Somewhere inside those fragments, an older explanation is still breathing.
ONE LAST THING
NOT EVERYTHING HAS BEEN FOUND.
When enough people repeat the same warning, eventually someone decides to find out why.
